Office work could solve toilet paper shortage among shoppers

As Australians continue to rush to stock up on toilet paper during the coronavirus outbreak, there may be a simple solution lurking on the shelves of Officeworks.
Consumers are better off buying toilet paper in bulk from popular office supply suppliers rather than buying multiple packs of toilet paper from Coles, Woolworths and Aldi.
The retailer sells rolls of industrial-size 2-ply paper (commonly sold in corporate restrooms and public restrooms) as well as other toilet paper in large quantities.
Large rolls of toilet paper are 1,000 feet long and cost $55.91 for a six-pack, but like other retailers, customers can only buy one pack at a time.
Individual 320 meter rolls cost $15.95 but are only available in stores, while large 650 meter rolls cost $15.26, with a limit of three rolls per customer for both products.
A 48-roll standard size toilet paper pack is only available in stores with a limit of one pack per customer and costs $46.78.
There is a mini roll, a 200 meter long, two-ply paper towel, priced at $8.50, but each customer is limited to three rolls.
The same restrictions apply to the 115-meter roll, which costs $4.56 but can only be purchased in stores.
Single- and double-ply rolls of tissue paper are available online and in stores for $2.76 in packs of 400, but customers can only purchase three rolls at a time.
While there are many toilet paper options available on the Officeworks website, shoppers may be wise to contact their local retailer to check stock levels before heading there.
For those who are especially desperate for wipes that can be wiped down, there are more hand wipes available online than toilet paper.
An eight-pack of 140-meter-long paper towels can be purchased online for $37.65, while a 16-pack of 90-meter-long paper towels can be purchased in three rolls for $71.88.
Bizarrely, the bulk buying panic shows no signs of slowing, despite Coles and Aldi limiting shoppers to one pack at a time and Woolworths to two packs.
